This fish sanctuary covers 29,500 acres and has 65 miles of shoreline. The average depth throughout the lake is nine feet.

Fishing and Hiking Paradise

Millwood is known for being a fish lovers paradise filled with bass, bluegill, carp, catfish, and more. There are many fishing tournaments scattered throughout the lake every season.

While fishing, keep a lookout for the large bird population. There are over 100 different bird species on the lake and you never know what you are going to see next.

The annual Little River County Fair and Rodeo in August is always a local favorite. Experience the town's talents and fun activities in this week-long event.

Millwood State Park, which provides camping and hiking trails, hosts events year-round like the Memorial Day Movie Marathon and the Children's Fishing Derby.
